Mr. David.
ELA / Writing Instructor
David is a 17-year veteran teacher at both the secondary and college level, where he has taught reading, creative writing, composition writing, and journalism. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from National University, and a Virginia State teaching License from Radford University. David has worked in daily and weekly newspapers for more than 30 years, was part-owner and publisher of the Franklin County Times, a weekly local newspaper, and has been the faculty advisor for both high school and college newspapers. David has published a novel, a textbook on composition, and numerous short stories and poetry. He has also been a professional touring musician and has an extensive library of original music he has written and published over the years.

Jacob
ELA / Writing Instructor
Jacob is a graduate of the University at Buffalo with a Master of Arts in English Literature. He has years of experience teaching and co-teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English while aspiring to be an English professor.Beside writing, he is working on a novel right now. Jacob not only have strength and interests in English, he also has a minor in Mathematics. Jacob is a believer in using multiple strategies to learn and improve student capabilities in a number of ways. He consistently helps students grow academically with his years of experience.

Mr. Herrera
ELA / Writing Instructor
Mr. Herrera is a graduate of both Eastern Illinois University as well as Grand Canyon University where he earned a Master of Arts in English as well as a Master of Education in Education Administration. Mr. Herrera, who is certified to teach secondary English in both Illinois and Arizona, has more than 15 years of experience in teaching and tutoring both high school and community college students in English literature, writing composition, creative writing, mythology, and APA and MLA formatted research applications. While employed as a high school teacher, Mr. Herrera contributed to curriculum development for district wide standards-based tests, as well as creating and implementing an online English course for remote learners.

Ms. Nicole
ELA / Writing Instructor
Ms. Nicole is a passionate and enthusiastic creative writer. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and a law degree from Fordham Law School. She has spent years perfecting her writing skills and enjoys sharing her expertise with her students. She has worked as a teacher and tutor for the last four years and has experience working with children from the ages of 2-18.she has also spent 5 years working with elementary school children as a camp counselor. She will improve your child’s writing skills through exciting and creative methods that will ensure they will not only learn a lot and become better writers, but also have fun doing so!

Mr. Mitchell, MFA
Public Speaking Instructor & Debate Coach
Mr. Mitchell is a professional educator with over 15 years of experience in the field. He has provided first-class instruction in a variety of subject areas, working with both children and adults from all walks of life. Among his many specialties is Speech/Public Speaking & Debate, in which he has excelled professionally and academically.
In the Training & Development arena, Mr. Mitchell has taught workforce communication skills to managers and staff alike, ranging from telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills to leadership and persuasion. An accomplished Master of Ceremonies (MC), he has performed at countless weddings, corporate functions, holiday parties, sporting events, and more. He has won numerous speech contests with Toastmasters International, and was recognized for his exceptional skill in presentation and debate. Having successfully taught communication skills, including Speech/Public Speaking & Debate at multiple academic institutions, he has proved himself a passionate, inspiring, and effective educator. Mr. Mitchell holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Through dedicated, thoughtful, and methodical instruction, particularly in Speech/Public Speaking & Debate, Mr. Mitchell continues to share his repertoire and expertise with others every chance he gets—coaching others to become the very best they can be!

Jeff
English Instructor
Jeff is a highly proficient English teacher with 10 years of experience in the United States and South Korea. Jeff’s teaching methodology includes a blend of educating the whole child, regardless of age, while maintaining a high standard for perfection in English phonics, syntax, vocabulary, and writing. As a creative writer himself, Jeff teaches students not only to be extremely analytical of word choice but to also express themselves vividly through proper semantics. He has a Master of Elementary Education from National-Louis, an extremely highly- esteemed private university in Chicago.

Lesile
Math, English & Writing Instructor
Leslie is a graduate from Harvard College with a degree in Neurobiology and Public Policy. She is passionate about education and scientific research. Leslie has more than 6+ years of experience tutoring primary and secondary school students in math, English and writing; she also taught ESL to international Harvard graduate students. After college, Leslie worked as a live and broadcast educator for TAL education group, teaching up to 15,000 students per class. Leslie was a finalist for two horror story writing competitions for the Clark County School District, and she hopes to continue writing horror and sci-fi literature.

Mr. Kharchuk
Writing Tutor
Master in Social Study, bachelor in Economics, has over a decade of classroom teaching experience. In his 10 years of teaching World History and History of the United States, he has also taught: Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, Economics, Foreign Language, Writing, and many other courses.

Mónica
SAT & Writing Instructor
Mónica is a recent graduate of Harvard University, where she concentrated in History with a secondary in Government. Currently she is employed as an English Language Learning Broadcast Educator, which consists of developing and conducting internationally broadcasted ESL (English as a Second Language) lessons. Beyond her current role, she has several years of experience in teaching SAT/SSAT prep, reading comprehension, academic writing, and creative writing.

Jonathan
Writing Tutor
The teacher graduated from Columbia University. He has taught students of all ages and backgrounds for over fifteen years, in a variety of subjects and grades, including elementary, middle, high school, and college level. Most recently, he has been developing programming for NYC youth at the Center for Justice at Columbia University, and teaching creative writing through the Columbia Artists/Teachers program.

Olivia
Debating / Writing Tutor
Olivia has a degree in Communications Studies and writing, rhetoric and persuasion from James Madison University.
As an educator, public speaking and debate coach, and communication scholar, Olivia has multiple areas of public speaking and debate expertise. Olivia began her public speaking and debate journey in 8th grade when she joined her first competitive public speaking and debate team.
